Re: a still life and a field shotMatt, you know what I really like about the second? and I am not sure if it was delibrate or not - its the way one gets drawn to the stem inside the vase and the scattered petals, only then does one look towards the actual roses. Quite a clever and different approach in portraying what is sometimes a over abused and cliche subject.

If you go to the novelty store you can buy an out of focus glass. They are great for photography! Regards

I really like that second image. Spot on composition and masterly control of DOF, but... I think it's just a touch too tight at the top Peter
