Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Project 365 street

I have been forcing myself to carry a camera and take photos everyday, unfortunately not all of them make the cut to my 365 Project, and even fewer make it here for critic. Here are a few of the shots that have been taken as part of the project to date. Please let me know what you all think.

#2 is a nicely executed and framed pan... note to self - I really must practice this sometime...

#3 is my pick of the shots - I really like the simplicity of it - I probably would crop a smidge off the left (or at least clone out the person on the left)

I like the processing you have given the second and this shot would be my pic of these with the third up next.

Great panning technique Cameron!! I quite like the noise in that image as well. Gives it an interesting timeless feel although the bike+person seems qute modern.

Thanks Colin and Suren. I actually converted the image to B&W and then added a heap of grain to it to disguise the fact that I had neglected to focus (60mm Micro Nikkor in MF mode) prior to snapping this one. I liked it a lot and the processing disguises the lack of focus nicely

I like #2 the most. Only thing is the white line underneath him but I know you only have few seconds to take the image. Good work with doing the 365 project, I do not have the time and motivation to do it.

Thanks Chris...it has been both difficult and frustrating at times, but I am yet to miss a day...and I have not used any preshot fillers so far.

#2 is the pick I think. #1 is a little busy.

As for processing disguises, yep, I think you're correct. PS actions can salvage a lot of otherwise unusable images.
