Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

On behalf of the DSLRUsers.com Team, I would like to thank Big Red (Shane) for his contribution this week Luckily for me the whole purpose of picture of the week is for the person doing the picking to pick their favourite shot purely because they like it and dervish 16's 2nd picture in the Kiama Downs thread jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=40913I'm not a very technical person and would be at a loss to describe why I like it but everything about it from the tone to the "X marks the spot" composition simply works for me. Congratulations dervish 16 ... its a great capture!!

Well done wonderful shot. It is the "X" factor that does it for me in this photo. Awesome job all round.

Wow! haha I didn't even know where to see the POTW image until my mate mattyshea told me where it was and that my image was up. Also noticed I have another POTW I didn't even see haha so I am extra grateful for it. I'm already in a good mood as my waterproof case, Lee filters and Lee holder came today and then this.
So thank you all so much for your kind words and support and have gained a great deal of confidence.
