Re: Autumn FlowersWhen did you take these? Not today I hope!
I like the colours, but the first seems a bit cool, and the 2nd seems a bit warm. The fungi looks fine to me...every edible! Cameron

Re: Autumn FlowersNo Cameron, I would not leave you out of a photo op.
Did you get the chance to go up the driveway of the Carriongton to see the old Rolls Royce looking car? Yeah typical for me one in the shade and the other in the sun. I would not be keen on eating the fungi though. Regards Colin

Re: Autumn Flowers
I was wondering where those florals were!! Unfortunately we decided food was a priority over the car but I can say that the pizza shop near the round-about is very good!
I wouldnt eat that fungi either, but they do look very edible! Cameron

Re: Autumn Flowers
compositionally - i reckon just a bit of cropping would improve the flower shots, here's my thoughts. The first, crop to put emphasis on the centre bunch of flowers, there is still heaps of leaves and context in there too, ATM the feel a bit lost in the bigger picture. The second one, I am in two minds, I want to be closer to those nice bright ornage flowers but love the way you get drawn to teh surrounds. That said, I think looking at what the primary focus and anchor point (centre flowers?) is and cropping to make it bigger would be better, even a off centre crop like removing the top and right sides might also work. the Third, again just a sligth crop to really draw the viewer in rather than have them hanging out around the edges might make it a stonger image, again this one has enough context within the flower areas to be able to crop the sides away. great compo on the fungi, a bit more light as mentioned is the only improvement i reckon. hth gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Autumn FlowersThank you Gerry,
That all makes good sense. I will have a play. Regards Colin
