finally an image off new gear

Well its been a while since i posted an image, this was taken today of my youngest daughter. Taken on my new d700 with my 17-35mm f2.8 lens. I love it, its like a new child for me. I've used it for 2 weddings and i am totally happy with it. Glad I purchased it all. So please have a look at my image and let me know what you think. Done it in a sepia tone as the house has horrid green walls and she was in red and denim so nothing looked nice in color. lol So enjoy!!

Hey bigsarg7

This image looks so good! Love the softness of your daughters face and the sharpness of here eyes and teeth. I reckon the sepia actually looks really good in this shot. So jealous of your gear.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the new gear.
Nice to have a happy pic of your daughter. My only niggle would be the hair at the front looking not quite in focus, the rest of the face and hair to the sides appears to be great.

There's nothing you can do to make that image better....It's perfect! And if you think it's good now....wait and see how much you love it in 40 years time! Time will make it priceless and that's the power of photography.

Imagine how much better this would have been if it had been taken with a Canon.... :biglaugh:

Seriously, a very nice image, and yes, one that will be treasured for a long time.

Wow, thank u so much for your kind words.....I am so in love with all my gear I just love getting out and photographing different things. Actually I haven't really had much time to do anything online lately or even think of posting online much.....between selling my house and moving and the 2 weddings last month, Easter, my 10th wedding anniversary and another wedding in which I got to travel up to townsville to photograph as well.....I just haven't had much time to catch up online here....and I seriously missed it. Can't wait to find some other photos to share over the next fee months from the weddings.....so many to sort.....but no doubt share some when I can.
But thank you all for your kind comments.....i have no doubt I will love this photo for years to come.....

:ot: O, one last thing I thought I'd share....my husband and I are having another baby, due in early December. Had to share. :D

Hi Misk, well the only post done was the tone, and cropped in. The background is just of our lving / kitchen area after it had been de cluttered! so its actually a very light green paint in real life, but with the effect its come up quite nice, in some lights it looks white but then in other lights it looks very green, i just shot at the right time of day i think. Her skin is beautiful soft and smooth which is evident in the image itself, no PP done to enhance that what so ever, it just wasn't needed. Thanks for your comment though!
