old time classic

Hi everyone, once again been quite some time since i've been able to post anything, but i have frequently been visiting at every opportunity i get. Last weekend my parents took there 1930 Essex out for a drive as usual, but this time they did something different, they got dressed up in the 1920's - 1930's outfits that they had made to suit the era of the vehicles they own (1926 Essex and the 1930 Essex). It was their first outing all dressed up, apparently owners of old vehicles love to dress up -can't say i would do it! lol So i decided to meet them and take a photo of them by the car. Unfortunately all around where I met them it was houses and roads, so I had them park in a more discreet spot and I shot from the front so i could reduce the back ground in the image. I have to share it, i love the old time sepia treatment I did to it, it somehow to me looks like it is from that era. My mother was wearing a blonde wig, my kids didn't realise it was her at the time, but her hat was green and with the back ground it was to distracting, so thats why i went the sepia treatment. CC more then welcome, but I just wanted to share what to me represents an old time classic vehicle and fashion era. Hope you enjoyed looking!

The choice of finish is a good one considering the vintage car and outfits. A normal colour photo would've been out of place IMO.

wow, thank you all for your such kind comments, i was thinking of adding a bit of a distressed look to it myself, but my parents want this one as is on canvas for their house.

I love it too, its nice to know my treatment worked on it and people other then myself actually liked it too! So thank you all so much, too kind!

I like the image. My only thoughts and it is jast a little thing ...

I would clone out the registration sticker on the bottom of the windscreen. Everything else seems to be in period. I am not sure whether they had rego stickers back then, but once I noticed it, my eye just keeps going back there.

I also agree with surenj ... crop some off the top.

Very nice photo, indeed. Why don't you try
sepia as well? You might find it gives the
image a warmth that seems lacking here.
I am talking of the image, not the subjects.
Then you could see ,which of the two
treatments is better suited.

great shot and processing! I would think about processing the view thru the side and back windows to match the surrounds, just give it enough guassian blur to knock the edge off it..
