Return of the D60...some streetI had my Nikon D60 + 16-85VR returned to me from long term loan today. It was a rather nice day so this kit for a walk around the harbour and managed to get a few snaps that I liked.
Tips and critique is essential! Cameron

Re: Return of the D60...some street#1 Nicely spotted. I reckon you could try and desaturate the background a little to draw more attention to the bottles. The OOF thing on the lower left is slightly distracting.
#2 I sort of get lost in this one. Too busy but with the bottom 3rd not adding much. I struggle with street shots. I reckon I would have walked right past these and seen nothin much.
Re: Return of the D60...some streetI too like the bottles and am so so about the second. I first noticed the strong blue colour cast at the bottom and then it took some time before I even noticed the girl sitting on the tie off thingy - perhaps getting MUCH closer might have worked better?

Re: Return of the D60...some streetLike the above I like the first best. The trouble with
the second is there is no clear subject. Which is it the girl or the building?
Re: Return of the D60...some streetThanks for the feedback...looks like I will have to go back to the drawing board with #2...but I am glad that you guys like #1...it is actually a crop from a larger image because I wanted to give the bottles more pulling power.
