On behalf of the DLSRUsers.com Team, I would like to thank Andrew (ATJ) for his contribution. For this week, I have chosen mozzie's portrait of her grandmother: For me it is a well executed portrait showing loads of character of her grandmother. The lighting is great and it is sharp where it needs to be as well as having good colour. While folks have suggested improvements, I'm very happy with the original version and mozzie should be happy, too. The thread can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=41169

This is a lovely portrait - lots of character in that face. Well lit and the composition is good too.
Congrats mozzie, and well selected Andrew.

Andrew,
Great choice, of a wonderful portrait.
And yes, of all the other attempts, the original is easily the one to run with.

Just to be clear, the selection was made by Andrew (ATJ) and not by Fozzie. This section is closed off to most members in terms of making a new post, and Fozzie has been taking on the task of coordinating our guest selectors for PotW, and in that role, he posts the selection and comments made by those guest selectors. So, in making this post, I'm acknowledging the work that I know Foz does behind the scenes to make this happen (so y'all know and understand and appreciate that) and also to remove any confusion that may arise through a post in his name that more correctly should be attributed to another person, in this case, ATJ. And for further clarification, Foz always states who he's making the post on the behalf of. So now ya know.
