Ziggy's pronouncement and other trivia

Postby gstark on Fri Mar 11, 2005 7:06 am

Apparently, Ziggy has said that Australia has a world class telephone system.

Third world, most likely.

But today is (or would be) the birthday of Douglas Adams.

Mind you, Ziggy is getting paid many millions of dollars to say things like that, and to tell you the truth, for that amount of money, I would sprout any old crap too.

Which brings to mind a very charitable act on my part a few years back. I gave a friend all four volumes of the trilogy( ) for his 42nd birthday. Took him a while to realise the significance (& I really mean a loooong while)

The strange thing is that I don't actually think it's Towel Day today as that's not until May.

Oh well... I might as well bring my towel anyway.

You never know when the four-headed bug-beast of Blatonioa might threaten you with any of its 7 silver tusks... and a towel might just protect you and your loved one... in this case, me and my camera.
