Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Stockholm syndrome pt.1Recently went up to North Sweden and stopped by Stockholm along the way.
Here's the first of a series, mainly of the buildings around Stockholm. There's a nice blend of old and new, between Old Town where buildings that are centuries old have been preserved very well, to modern-ish buildings. Stockholm isn't the most expensive of the Scandinavian countries, but the costs are up there. Slightly cheaper than Sydney and Melbourne, just ever so slightly Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

Re: Stockholm syndrome pt.1I like them and specially the 3rd one.
Re: Stockholm syndrome pt.1All nicely composed, and classically so. The place appears to be depicted as one very empty place - where is everyone?
gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Stockholm syndrome pt.1Thanks guys.
@biggerry - The first three were taken around 9am and at that time, there was hardly anyone around. The last one, it took me awhile as I was at a pedestrian crossing. I was waiting for the pedestrians to cross, cars to get out of the way and the light to co-operate (sun was coming in and out of the clouds and just wanted it to be in the right spot to get enough contrast while remaining soft) Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
