I know HDR is an acquired taste and I struggle to make it work most of the time, but I really like the below shot...



You guys see things I don't so I'd greatly appreciate some C&C.

This looks amazing, if you didnt say it was a HDR I doubt many would be able to pick it!

I love how it has a very natural feel, and the image itself is great with the captured motion

I think it is a great image - for the most part it certainly doesn't look HDR'd at all (except perhaps for some of that haloing in the sky around the trees/leaves). But the feel of speed is good and the perspective is great.

Very creative. You can probably shave off a little bit of sky and get the viewer more concentrated on the car itself. Get rid of those halos though.

Nice stuff Adam, the alternative perspective works very well.

As for the processing, it is subtle and appropriate until you get to the sky. The uneven blotches of blue turn me off straight away, now, don't read that as a complete show stopper however its just one thing that I find screams HDR and unatural HDR at that. I would look at reprocessing to take that into account, I assume your using photomatix, if that is the case ramping up the light smoothing will give you much better smoothing (der ) in the blue sky and the clouds.

other than that, i got nothign else. Top effort on the composition and hanging your head outta the window (although I would have been really impressed if it was the other side of teh car )

I hope you realise that this shot works because of it's fantastic composition and timing etc making it so dynamic. Of course the cartoony colors do help but only to complement it's goodness.

Got it. I was distracted more by the halos around the trees which seem to be more difficult to remove. I guess you need to zoom in a spend time to get those right.
