McCurry has been a favourite photographer of mine for quite awhile. One of his books graces my bookshelf and it is for his portraiture that I most admire him. He has a way of letting the subject speak for itself...he doesn't get to close and his composition does not control the image space...rather the subject itself is the composition. I didn't know he was at Magnum HQ, New York on 9/11 so those images were a suprise to me. Thanks for taking the trouble to post the link.
