Story Bridge for C&C

Took these the night I was in Brissie a few weeks back. Would love to get some feedback.

Im drawn to the brighter exposure in the first image but it doesnt look quite as sharp as the second. How long was the exposure? Did you use a remote release on your tripod?

My humble thoughts...

#2 is much sharper than #1 for me and whilst the image is very nice I think it could be better somehow. Perhaps you need to see more of the bridge to the left and right rather than chopping it off in the middle of the arc (or perhaps more square cropping the image at the vertical pillars to force the viewers attention to the middle - the buildings, the reflections, etc).

I think the composition in #3 has potential with the mirror of the bridge in the water but perhaps needs to be even further to the back and left so the bridge sort of extends from closer at the start on the left to more into the distance on the right. That white boat on the left could prove to be an unwelcome distraction however.

I think you had the venues right but missed out on the timing.

These images are better (IMHO) if there is still some light in the sky, rather than completely black.

#2 for me, although the dark area bottom right is a distraction, perhaps a crop to remove it and making it even more of a pano might work. Not seeing both ends of the bridge is also a let down, do you have some images you could stich together?

Twilight would also be a better time of day to give a bit of a lift.

You're right about the timing - had drinks with the boys so only got away after dark.

There were some other angles - I'll have a look and see if any are better.
