Just wanted to say what a great day it was..thanx to one and all, and a huge thanks to Birdy and Mrs Birdy and all the ladies who so eagerly cooked up a storm for us in the kitchen while we were lens lusting and watching Glen open up his new laptop, and Matt (Rokkstar) play with his lovely new prize the 50mm 1.4. Bel would love to have been there but she had to work today. It was great meeting some new ppl and seeing some of the regulars there. It was weird not seeing our Onyx there, we talked about him a lot and the fun he seems to be having in Hong Kong/China with Poon, looking and packing/sorting through all those gold boxes!! I have come to love these meets and the comraderie that goes along with it. Thanx everyone for a top day. When I finally get a VR lens I will be there at 4:30am...but maybe not until next summer...4:30am in winter is not my idea of fun...lens lust or not! :)

Just wanted to add a thankyou as well.
Thanks for being so welcoming! Thanks for showing me the gear and allowing me to use it!
As one of the new faces it was nice to actually meet the "old" faces, some of them are really are old!!! Mind you most have more hair than me!
It was a great day and now I fully understand lens lust... the pennys are being counted..
Mal
I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

I took shots of all the new members that I could. I'll PP them (you want to look your best don't you?) and get them to Onyx to add to the mugs gallery.

I'm not entirely sure that any amount of PP could make me look my best Stubbsy. :D

Birddog thank you for your undevided attention during the Saturday VR meet ! (hey, I was the only one there, how good is that !)
The following D70 members meet turned out to be a big crowd, 25 we believe attended.
I was so good to see plenty of members live; I had a great time and didn't fall asleep as I feared.
I highly recommend you to attend the D70 meet.
Thank you Mrs and Mr Birddog for your hospitatlity, also thanks to members partners.
We were looked after nicely (food, coffee, tea, water etc)
I appreciate the time that Birddog and his wife puts into these meetings.

Best regards to all
Christian
