Images from (yet another) new cameraI have been downgrading my gear of late, due to financial reasons. I was considering a very well priced NEX 3 last week, but finally settled for an Olympus E-PL1 + kit lens, a bargain at $240 brand new.
I have owned one of these before, and found it a stellar camera with an amazing jpg capacity. I took a few pics today of which these are some: My daughter Sarah, making bread in our kitchen. This image utilised one of the inbuilt filters, pin hole or something. You may indeed Cameron. Good Guys Coffs hbr. I wasn't even shopping for a camera, just walking down the aisle, and I said thank you, I'll take the last two! One for me and one for a friend. I think they were clearing old stock and had a silly price on these. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Re: Images from (yet another) new cameraGreat shots.
I love the last image, the light and the isolation of the couple make it a great shot and the curve of the wave adds a smooth flowing effect that I find hard to adequately describe. Have you tried cropping a little off the bottom to make it more panoramic? Craig

Re: Images from (yet another) new cameraHere's another few images, taken of my longsuffering missus.
This one taken in shade but with the attached flash. It doesn't have much power but does a creditable job all considering. Rob200911c by Ozimax, on Flickr There's a few hot spots on this one as the light was mottled, but again, the E-PL1 is capable of a decent portrait, despite the el cheapo lens. Re: Images from (yet another) new cameraUnbelievable bargain Ozi!
Re: Images from (yet another) new cameraA bargain indeed Suren. It's a pretty good unit. T'would be nice to have a Panasonic 20mm f1.7, but that would cost more than the camera!
