Goodbyes and comfortA small collection from recent images I've captured around Prague.

Re: Goodbyes and comfortChris, the first two are what I would formally class as "super duper"
Re: Goodbyes and comfortThe second one is great, it has a Truffaut look to it, very atmospheric. The third one doesn't do it for me, I don't think the colour helps.
Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul

Re: Goodbyes and comfortGreat work, I really like the use of negative space in these. However the colour image is by far the weakest link. The colours do little to add to the image, whereas the tonality and contrast the mono images add to the "feel" of those images. I also find the colour image to be one that should stand on its own, rather than part of this series as it conveys a sense of confrontation to me rather than comfort/farewell.
Hoping to see more though! Cameron

Re: Goodbyes and comfortThe last image.....the colour adds a foreboding atmosphere to the image which makes me feel uncomfortable. It is dramatic and moody and different.....The quality of the image suits the subject perfectly. There is a story to unfold. Brilliant!

Re: Goodbyes and comfortI should add, I like the first one, too. It is nicely composed, exposed and graded, but at first I was bothered by its flat appearance. On closer inspection it doesn't appear flat anymore, the hint of perspective lines on the tarmac saves it.
