Dodgy pandas

Postby darklightphotography on Mon Nov 14, 2011 7:45 pm

I've often though that the pandas at Adelaide Zoo were a lot less animated than they could be. Now I know it's true.

When I first got to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, (run by the Chinese Committee of Breeding Techniques of Giant Panda) I couldn't see any pandas. Having been to Adelaide Zoo many times, I figured it was normal. They were just having a lie down. Again

Then I heard a noise and looked up. There were several pandas. Climbing fucking trees. Fighting. Carrying on like toddlers on red cordial.

We were ripped off. We should send those lazy ass pandas back and get some good ones.

Apologies for the crappy pics, but they don't have light in China.

That second panda isn't ready yet. It hasn't been taught to not look at the camera.

Ah, so that's the problem... The panda are breeding by committee... That explains a lot.

:agree: The committee couldn't decide whether the male or the female would be the father or the mother.

It has only gone downhill since you have been away - now they close the exhibit during the day to give them lunch behind closed doors!!!

Kevin,

I've seen our pands climbing up and down the trees a few times ... once coming back out Wang Wang (I think) actually fell the last 2 metres - they quickly started to move us away, before he hopped back up and romped off .. they seem to go up the trees quickly, but coming back down backwards they look very awkward

Oh dear, they're going to end up looking like camels...

Cheers

It's amazing what you can do with a koala bear and a can of black and white spray paint. It sucks the tourists in big time!
