Re: Comet Lovejoy - edited pics now showing!!!Colin, it is really an unknown for this comet as it was not expected to make it past the Sun. You will have at least a few days and if we are lucky who knows how long. Do try and get out and see it as soon as possible though as it will start to fade as it moves further away from the Sun.

Re: Comet Lovejoy - edited pics now showing!!!Nice images. I had no idea of this. (Mind you, there is very little clear sky in Coffs Harbour these days, so it's basically pointless trying to see the stars at night!)

Re: Comet Lovejoy - edited pics now showing!!!Well despite driving a total of 215 km Clouded out and only mangaed one sub par 30 second shot, however the comet is bigger and brighter. Oh well try again tomorrow morning, at least no moon to contend with!!!

Re: Comet Lovejoy - edited pics now showing!!!Well the first and only chance I had for this was new years morning. Obviously plenty before sunrise. All I managed to find were lots of nice stars, plenty of canoodling couples, and the ships at sea off Newcastle. Not to worry, it was a lovely morning.
The first and second shots are great by the way. Regards Colin
