Portrait of Cockatoo Island...More from our visit to Cockatoo Island.
I packed lots of Camera gear and took some portraits of the kids whilst there... Comments and feedback always welcomed... A self portrait with the UWA on a tripod in a room full of graffiti art with some added processing in Lightroom My girls inside one of the art installations - it was very dark inside except for the pool of light lighting my girls in the doorway so I shot this as an HDR and blended my girls back in from the correctly exposed image An industrial portraits in the light of the setting sun My eldest has been slowly perfecting hand stands and it was ideal for a sunset silhouette D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Portrait of Cockatoo Island...I am not a fan of either of the first two images.....the HDR in #2 doesnt do it for me, and neither does the cross-processed look in #1.
You have captured great expressions in the #2 and #3, and the warmth of hte light in #3 and #4 really appeal to me Cameron

Re: Portrait of Cockatoo Island...I love image number one, for me it works so well and is interesting.

Re: Portrait of Cockatoo Island...
Well I knew it wouldn't be for everyone (and wait till you see today's HDR - but hopefully the subject more suits the technique)
They called the effect "Lomo" I think...
Thanks - that was the aim but wasn't sure it was going to work out that way with all the super bright graffiti competing for view

Re: Portrait of Cockatoo Island...#1 - Interesting - I can't make up my mind whether person is clashing/complementing with graffiti or otherway around.
#2 - Really cool concept I reckon! I would like to see some more edits to blend them in a little bit more. They look like they have been pasted on.
