Well we did go to see rainforestThis was part of what we went to see, well sort of. We like the beach forest that only grows in a few elevated locations in NSW. It is always nice to be in this sort of forest.
Of course I was looking up and around but there were a few things of interest on the ground. There were surprisingly few fungi about. Hiding in the moss. Found this really cool little shell less snail as well. First one I had seen for myself, apart from when I was a destructive little fellow. There were several of the snails that we regularly see with the thin shells but this was one of those oddities that just does not grow one as such. They tend to have a leathery patch but that is it. Re: Well we did go to see rainforestColin, those fungi ones are great and teh reason i reckon so is the angle and composition, everything else from there is elementary. The second has very nice light too, very natural and well positions, was this just with sock diffuser on the speedlite? or off camera?
They also have good framing which I like. The shell-less snail is neat, good BG, accentuates teh subject nicely. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Well we did go to see rainforestThanks Gerry,
The first was with the cheapo slot over lens diffuser and sb600. The second was on board flash with no diffuser, at end of hike up out of gully and just to stuffed. The snail pic is pretty heavily croped to get a view that would work for the forum. I have another version ............ that I think is framed a bit better. Regards Colin
