Re: 5D Mk II View CameraThinking about this, It wouldn't be that hard to make a view adapter for DSLR's that included the lens from one of these cameras, bellows, and a full view camera movements. With liveview, that could be awesome kit.
Re: 5D Mk II View Camerawow, the quality from that old Glass is amazing, didn't expect it to be so sharp really!

Re: 5D Mk II View CameraRooz, in comparisson to todays Glass its not as good - definately not sharp compared to todays quality lenses, but for the age and the way it was used on a modern camera amazed me and to see that it was still pretty darn sharp. I think for its age it was pretty decent! Subject matter and the shots taken could have been better selected but still it worked!

Re: 5D Mk II View Camera
The (relative) sharpness (given the age of the glass) is just a part of what we're seeing here. But there's something else too, which a lot of modern glass doesn't have. It's a bit like comparing film vs digital, or vinyl vs digital in sound. The example images posted carry that "something" which makes them stand out a little from the crowd. You don't get that feeling from modern glass. g.

Re: 5D Mk II View CameraYou can also do this with a large format camera, which should not have any problems with sharpness and for that matter offers possibilities for Scheimpflug effect and stitching.
