Hi yes spot on both times Nikon really have missed the mark on several point here in my opinion
1-Staff are by no fault of their own completely in the dark on settings as no shelf stock was provided
2-very narrow set of images available -even now after 2 months
3- no XQD card or reader for another month -yes one comes with camera - but a spare??????????
4- No spare battery for another month--ps i hope its good

A big plus on pricing as they are in front of common Grey suppliers well done at last - i hope people support this bold move
now i cant wait for the weekend
Sat Motocross(sidecars)
Sun Dressage
bring it on--jim

In defence of Nikon ...

1-Staff are by no fault of their own completely in the dark on settings as no shelf stock was provided

That would surely be a decision made by the store, as to whether they care to put a very high value item, that is in great demand, on the shelves for demo purposes. I would probably do the same, but then the outcome you describe is entirely unsurprising.

But it is a decision made by the store.

And we should also note that the store could have taken one body and allowed staff to spend a few hours familiarisation with it as a part of training, yet they didn't.

Again, a store decision.

2-very narrow set of images available -even now after 2 months

The camera has only been in the wild for a month or less.

3- no XQD card or reader for another month -yes one comes with camera - but a spare??????????

You received a card with the camera? I'd call that surprising; I've not seen any cards included with cameras for quite a while.

4- No spare battery for another month--ps i hope its good

The word is that it's very good.

On world terms, Australia is a tiny market. Insignificant. We get what we get, when Nikon Japan deign to send it to us.
