Nice sunrise this morningIt has been a while since I caught a really nice sunrise. This made it worthwhile getting up at 445am!
the Rock by Ben Fewtrell, on Flickr
Re: Nice sunrise this morningnice shot, however there are a couple of elements that would cause me to rework it.
1) halos, being HDR this is a easy fix, even after the merge process. 2) Warmth, even on my monitor which I know to be a bit cool this one burnt a hole in it dialing up the warmth has its place, possibly doing it selective here will make for a stronger image. from a composition point of view, the rock works well, but also has the negative effect of 'blocking' the viewer, one becauses its a rock and two cause its a fing big rock and three cause its bright hence the eye stops there rather then heads for what was a nice sky that morning. hth. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Nice sunrise this morningI agree about the halos but otherwise wouldn't change a thing.
Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
