Turimetta Sunset TriptychAre we tired of my attempts at triptych's yet?
whilst this one does have similar images, i did (which is not immediately obvious) achieve one thing, i got the compositions and frame correct straight out of the camera - no croppage required. thoughts? gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Turimetta Sunset Triptych
never OK - so my lame comments as it were... - to me the image almost has a pano feel (like you're chopping a single image into thirds - rather than three separate images) - with that in mind... - the left and middle parts match up quite well except the rock jutting in on the left of the middle image has a different tone/feel to the bit it matches to it's left - but could be made to blend better (lightening perhaps?) - the horizon on the right image doesn't match the other two and could come down a fraction - the blue of the sky in the middle image (and the right side of the left) could be lightened a fraction to better match ... what does it look like with left and right images swapped? Re: Turimetta Sunset TriptychI reckon this is the best effort you have shown us so far and I like it. As Rodney has already stated the horizon in the RH image needs to be a fraction lower. I reckon you need to remove the watermark from all of images and have it on just one or on the border.

Re: Turimetta Sunset TriptychThese are a great sequence. They fit together very well.

Re: Turimetta Sunset Triptych
the lightening of teh rock would be a good idea. I swapped the left and right images and flipped them, adjusted the now RHS to remove the outcrop rock and got all the horizons aligned. It looks good, i am indifferent on whether it is better than the original, i will have to mull it for a while.
horizon corrected and watermarked removed - alrighty LR experts how do you put a single watermark on a triptych sequence?
cheers Daniel..note its all your fault btw. gerry's photography journey

Re: Turimetta Sunset Triptych
... actually I was thinking swapped but not flipped (so the edges went outwards and not inwards - so a large X and not an o). I wasn't really suggesting it would definitely be better just wondering what it might look like and if it was
You've got two options - either in the print module (where you setup the triptych?) you can add a single watermark (using the Identity plate function in the right column & make yourself a suitable identity plate to use) - often onto the border area rather than the image. Or "print" the image to a file without any watermarks as a jpeg highest res and then import back into lightroom and add watermark on export. NB: I reckon the first gives you more control over placement, etc. D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks

Re: Turimetta Sunset Triptych
where is my 100% guarantee?
can you position the identity plate? i found you could only rotate it when on teh RHS of teh image. gerry's photography journey

Re: Turimetta Sunset Triptych
It's in the mail - trust me
Yes - when I've used it I can move, resize, whatever - just click on it wherever it appears on the layout and drag/rezise/stretch/ it wherever. D600, D7000, Nikon/Sigma/Tamron Lenses, Nikon Flashes, Sirui/Manfrotto/Benro Sticks
