Fujifilm Natura Classica

With everyone getting new bodies, I think that separate section for you to proudly display your first image from your new acquisition is in order.

This applies to brand new bodies, as well as bodies that are simply newly acquired by you.

Unfortunately the first image from this beautiful little camera will have to wait (I have to finish the roll of film first!). But I do have some camera porn to share.

Compact, lightweight (155gm), 35mm, 28-56mm f/2.8-5.4 Super EBC lens (has a reputation for being sharp), 1x CR2 battery for power.

A truly modern compact film shooter with a decently bright lens. Looks gorgeous, feels nice and has all those little extras that make you smile.

Forgot to put down the flash? dont worry, turning off the camera closes the flash. Worried about popping up the flash when camera is in bag? Flash cannot be opened without being on.

The shutter is SILENT, the wind is reasonably quiet. I will have to do some digging around to work out the metering, but it appears to have a either a spot meter, or a very tight center weighted meter.

Any further questions?

OH yes, not available in Australia, best to get one via eBay as most come out of Japan with a few HK and Taiwan sellers mixed in.

Very nice, Cameron. I suggest a film meet soon!

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935.

I like that idea!

I managed to work out how to turn off the beeps, but have not been able to find anything that will help me with the metering.

Even in NP mode it seems that the shutter is set to 1/60th sec (tested using my Nikon J1 for comparison) and anything less than that seems to complain about being too dark to shoot without flash.

The slow shutter mode seems to allow shooting in darker conditions, but I have no idea other than my own intuition as to how slow the shutter will be.....
