Re: I spy, with my little eye...Charged battery ( just over 2 hrs) - now into the setup.
Checked file status - no pre-use. A few users are saying that they have experienced AF issues. I'll be looking at that next. Those who saw my earlier post will know that I had a false start. A store in Brisbane where I had put my name on their back-order list called to tell me that my D800 had arrived. Ten minutes later, they called again to say that they had made a mistake and that the D800 was for another customer. I left my name on their list. I thought about getting on other stores' lists but decided not to. After more reading about the D800 v the D800E, I wondered whether I would prefer the E version. Last Thursday morning I typed "D800E" into my browser, and found a store that was indicating that they had stock of the D800E! I phoned them; they confirmed that they had at least one. I was advised to complete an on-line purchase. That caused some angst. My CC provider refused the sale. I caused the camera vendor to see if we could complete the sale on the phone. He wouldn't proceed until I called the CC provider. I did that - I was told that it was a security precaution and that, of course, I could process the purchase. It still wouldn't complete via the Internet. I had to call the camera store, confirm that they still had the stock, and complete the sale. It went through! Whew! Anyway, it had to be sent to me from interstate and it arrived today around midday. Pleased I am! TFF (Trevor)

Re: I spy, with my little eye...This means that I will be selling a D700 with about 5500 shutter actuations and extra bits like MB-D10. I'll be putting it on eBay but will offer it here first.
