Its been done before, back in the stone ages, however it is something I have always wanted to have a crack at, just for kicks and giggles. The basic concept is: Set time period and location 5 or 10 required 'subjects' ie resulting in a maximum of a couple of images per subject. 20 consecutive exposures (maximum) as an added challenge taped up LCD's. jpegs outta camera? Review images afterwards and discuss. think of it like orienteering for plebs with cameras. Location: needs to be somewhere with diverse subjects I reckon, the city is the obvious choice, maybe starting early to include sunny rise. Time: 3 hours, thats about the maximum of my attention span. Subjects: TBA, but given at the late notice to prevent pre-concieved ideas. Date: Weekend morning, i am open to preferences. Anyone keen?

Sounds like a plan
Early weekday morning could be tricky and probably depends on day but will see
Instead of taped up LCD's - how about just turning image review off

You could do it the right way and use film cameras

Just for kicks n giggles, I vote that we print out images straight without looking at them on a screen at all...... We could do this while we grab something to eat. Thoughts??

Yeah, that's a top idea...just need to find a dodgy printer close to the location.

I have a Dell Wasabi.....business card sized ZINK prints....and I am pretty sure I have a working Kodak EasyShare dock/printer but power/media may be an issue.
Not so sure how we can process/print film on the morning though......also I am not sure if I can make a weekday morning but I am def interested

I have a Wasabi as well.
Some of you may recall that we did something like this, using prints from the Wasabi, on Cockatoo Island, maybe four years ago?

Don't these photo joints offer instant digital prints?? BTW why don't you use one of your digitals with the LCD taped? aim54x wrote:had it been a thursday morning i should be able to make it. gstark wrote:Some of you may recall that we did something like this, using prints from the Wasabi, on Cockatoo Island, maybe four years ago?
Yes. I remember the winning image. It was super duper! Damn that bird, crane and the yellow.... We didn't shoot with a no chimping clause though.

I guess we could do this: Shoot JPEG ONLY with LCDs covered. Select best shot for printing and then print. Either through the japanese method of wasabi or conventional instant photo lab.
