Human Evolution

I think this article is an interesting one. Just avoid those slightly overcooked images though. Just wear sunglasses so that the glare won't blind you. The text is ok.

It's not evolution. It is simply learning. For it to be evolution it would have to be passed down genetically and also be of some reproductive benefit.

To be honest, i don't rate the whole article, it feels like he (note i quite respect trey too) needed a article to write and this was teh first thing that came out.... :?

comparing imagery whether it be still, motion or otherwise (read that as cat gifs) to that of writing text will always be flawed (imo) its like comparing a movie to a book, to me, a book is multidimensional, a movie or image is simply one dimensional. For me a well written book/text can engage, explain, provide thoughts of characters/persons, set the scene, set emotion etc...

to be able to write, express and entertain people thru text is a skill i would rather have over the ability to spew several images of a event.

When there’s a birth in the family, what is better and faster: writing a few paragraphs about the experience, or taking a series of photos from your family to see? Yes, there will be many journalist graduates who shake their quills violently in the air at this idea, but I think the evidence online speaks for itself.

i raise that one more, to couple the images with a well written article would shit all over 25 images posted to facebook. just cause its faster definitely does not infer better imo.

Nice find Suren and a good read nonetheless.

I think you have missed the point Andrew. Step away from the literal meaning

If you use the an inappropriate word it is wrong no matter how you try to justify it.

It is simply humans learning to communicate in another way. The article itself is basically drivel with no justifiable conclusions.

Maybe it should just be titled: "My opinion on shit".

lmfao@ Andrew. Evolution is a word often used outside of its literal biological meaning but I love your reaction...straight out of hitchen's play book, may he rip.

It's a decent read as long as you don't take it too seriously.

Not sure why there was a "warning" about the images. I think they look fantastic.

I'm with Andrew on this one. Evolution happens to species. Not individuals. Lamarck was discredited a long time ago.
