Re: Garden bugs from todayGeoff that last one is very good, but it pales into insignificance with #2. Wow!
Not fusssed on the ant though - I think the background is too close colour wise and hides the ant. Peter

Thanks Peter. Agree that the ant is lost to some degree amongst the b/g colouring but of course it does show the natural camouflaging. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11

Thanks Rodney, on second look this is very slightly overexposed losing some of the colour in the ladybug/bird, will need to revisit and correct that. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11

Re: Garden bugs from todayFor me, with the exception of the second one they look a bit washed out and over exposed.
The weevil looks very grainy. A nice effect in other circumstances but doesn't suit the subject matter in my opinion. The fly on the flower looks great although I'd like to see more detail. This one, too, might be a bit overexposed. The ladybug could do with a bit more colour.
Re: Garden bugs from todayLooks like you got in nice and close, can't judge colour here at work (uncalibrated screen) but these do look a bit overexposed and washed out. Great images though. I do like the ladybug the most.
