Smugmug down..

Postby Mal on Tue Mar 15, 2005 7:39 pm

Does anyone know how long the smugmug servers have been down for? I know they are doing system maintenance at the moment, but thier timing couldn't have been any worse. I had planned to organise my pictures tonight. :(

I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

I know... I'm not happy either... According to my world clock it has been down since 4pm and will be off the air until 9pm... Apparently this will be their regular weekly maintenance slot...

I've logged a moan on the forum linked on the home page to point out that this is probably prime time for us here in Oz... Suggest other smug muggers do the same...

It was down this morning as well for other reasons...

Quite ironic when I think that I chose smugmug over pbase because pbase was down for maintenance when I was looking at which service I would adopt...
Cheers, John

Both Pbase and smugmug don' care about their customers, they can down anytime they want and very regularly.

Stop stirring Birddog... This is the first time smugmug's been down that I've noticed... If you can recommend a more stable service, then please do...

Yeah, I know! but I just want to tell people that Pbase or Smugmug is nothing better than each other! I had the Optus net downed sometime for the all morning no email, no internet, I use a second connection with TPG on ADSL till Optus came back, annoying but I accepted it! Normal life and they're!

All true mate , like at work monday we had power black out and was in the midle of laying a 40+ mtr concrete house slab. No power at the plant we couldnt load our trucks for awhile, the builder screening it off was spitting chips but what can you do when the hole town was out and most of the state.

Grab a beer out of the fridge and drink it before it warms up!

BBJ... I recommend that you leave a message on the forum as well then... If it's affecting your business then they should sit up and listen...
At least get them to move it to Thursday or something...
