POTW 09 October 2012

Well here we are again, another week another round of images, there certainly has been no shortage of images posted to view.

I can safely say that this week was a no brainer for me, the image and the thread that jumped out at me and also made me barf with jealousy

Daniels trip to Canada and Alaska looks like a stunning and awesome trip and is now on my very large bucket list. The image that Peter picked out from his gallery really hit home with me, cliche, postcard etc but stunning nonetheless.

Well done Daniel.

Brilliant. Well done.

I am more than a little sporadic at the moment, so I'm glad I got a second chance. I missed it first time round

Aqua-torial splendour. Great image. Congrats on POTW. The water colour reminds me of Lake Pukaki in NZ.

Wow. Thank you.
I was surprised to see the potw thumbnail on the front page today.

The colour of the water of Lake Louise is due to rock-flower (pulverised rock dust created by the moving glacier above). I'm told in winter the water changes to crystal clear as the rock-flower stops coming down as everything freezes.
