Mt Tomah Macro meet next Saturday 20/10

As if there's not enough to tempt you next Saturday with the Bondi mini meet at Gary's I'm organising a macro meet at Mt Tomah botanic gardens which is the sister gardens to the ones next to the Opera House, but for cold climate plants. We'll be meeting at 9:30 am at the gardens which for you Sydney siders is a 1 to 2 hour drive depending on where you live. Admission is free.

October sees lots in flower usually and I'm hoping last weekends snowfall didn't kill everything. See HERE for some shots taken there same time last year. If your interested please PM me and/or comment below.

For those attending:
  • We'll meet at 9:30 am am in the viewing area which is reached by going through the gift shop and out the other side.
  • There’s a café (ordinary, expensive and busy) so I suggest bringing your own lunch

So its a mini meet at Bondi or a macro meet at Mt Tomah? Hmmm.

My pick is the beautiful Bluies, though I have to say I can get most of the shots you show as samples in my backyard.
Still the company will be great.

Let me check with the personal secretary.

I can't make either meet as I'll be diving off Nelson Bay.

Damn. My secretary pointed out I am chief pizza chef for a family gathering that day.
It is still not 100% decided as there is a some of the key participants are recalcitrant at committing, but it has to take priority. I will let you know if it is cancelled.

I'll be there. It's a great location for some thoughtful photography.

My social secretary has had a falling out with the dreaded lurghie. This means she has cancelled all social events for the coming week. This in turn means I am free for Mt Tomah this weekend. Unless of course she decides to share her luck.

I won't be there but here is an image I took there on the way back from the 2009 Sydney Blues Festival in late October:
