Wow - with that first I was thinking you'd taken it from the same side as I did but more to the left to include the moon, then wondered why there was the red/yellow EL in front of the dome (I didn't remember any being done outside the dome there) and then saw the path on the right - then it hit me - OMG you've got the moon in and the dome from the moon side - the dome looks pretty undistorted too :)

I think with #2 you need to rotate a bit to the left so it isn't falling over

#3 is very wide :)

With #4 maybe you clone out the star and crop the bottom 25% off

Hey Cam, good to see some images form teh night, I like teh last the best. I think they all need a bit of straightening and the first few a bit of love in the processing department just to clean things up.

Have you thought about a black border for your images rather than a white one? I think alot of your images could look better on a black border rather than a white one.

Thanks for coming out on the night.

Thanks Gerry. I have only had a chance to spend about 15sec on each so far...as for the white/black borders...that is a consequence of decision I made regarding my website years ago...but it may very well be a time to change.

Cameron

These are all good, but #3 in particular appeals more perhaps because the light painting is more subtle.

Beautiful work Cameron! I too like #3. What a great series of prints these would make?

really? is it just me or are they still tilted?

I would love to take credit for that but I think it was Rodney who mentioned that - however it looks heaps better!

The black border makes a world of difference too, much better.

The first is still a bit tilted, but I would lose the moon if I corrected it. The others are pretty close...as close as I could manage...remember that these are fisheye images so they don't really have a straight line from which I can base a correction on.

I might have a dig at these with PS adaptive wide angle and see what happens, just for giggles.
