52MP FX!! WTF...

Get your hardware upgrades (CPU/RAM/Hard Drives) in order boys...

From Nikon Rumours... http://nikonrumors.com/2012/11/27/lets- ... -2013.aspx

The Nikon D4x (not sure about the name) will not be a direct replacement of the D4 and is expected to have a high MP sensor - either the 36MP from the D800 or a new 52MP with 4 fps. Expected announcement: fall, 2013.

It would be logical and dangerous at the same time...52MP would be roughly the same density of a 24mp DX.....oh the lenses are going to have a hard time though! Lets not get started with diffraction limits.....f/7ish if I remember correctly

Thinking about a 12 frame pano with this. Ansel Adams will rise from the dead for 1 of these.

With his 8x10 negs, I am not sure Ansel Adams would be too impressed with only 52 MP!
Regards, Patrick

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935.

That said, Adams' early F1 panning shots left a lot to be desired. The frame rate on his 8x10 wasn't up to current standards.
