EOI - Dec 15th - Somewhere in or around Sydney

Postby Reschsmooth on Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:12 pm

I have earned myself a free ticket to spend Saturday as I wish. I am therefore proposing a photo - meet somewhere in or around Sydney. I will be free from something like 8 am or so to about 5 (can't relegate all parental duties).

I will be dragging at the 4x5, so I won't be walking very far.

My thoughts are:

1. A trek to the Blue Mountains for some big landscapes (downside is the time to get there and back for one day)
2. Northern beaches (perhaps Newport/Palmy) - midday long exposure
3. The Rocks - midday long exposure - with long enough exposure, the human element may be removed, as per Eugene Atchet. It has been suggested that this may be an issue around this time of year. I am not sure this will be too much of a problem.

The benefit of options 2 or 3 is the pub lunch that can easily coincide.

Anyone interested and any other ideas?
Regards, Patrick

Will see how I go - if I am at the Rocks, not sure I want to lug the Cambo all the way down Kent Street! :D

Don't sweat it - no definite plans at this stage, so a later kick off can be accommodated.

That could definitely be an option - some LF long exposures around QVB would look good.

How early is early? I will find it difficult to get to the city before about 8:30am.
