POTW 11th December - Guest Selector Rooz (Chris)Thanks to Chris this week for his selection and comments - well done.
POTW this week goes to Chris for this abstract image of bottles. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=43203 i love the fact that its different and a little strange. i love the colour. i love the bendiness. i love the curvy...dare i say sensual...lines. but mostly, i love the fact that chris saw a shot that i wouldnt have seen so i learnt something new. id also like to offer a couple of honourable mentions which made choosing this winner more dificult than i would have liked. zafra's documentary style image of a young girl studying is so elegant in its simplicity . it can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=43222 the other image i was really torn about was andrew excellent image of God, (and Andrew), only knows what. the clarity and beauty of the image is quite stunning. we are very spoilt having a guy like andrew taking images for us from places we arent likely to go anytime soon...maybe ever. so for that i say thanks. that image is here: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=41896&start=50 thanks all for posting images this week. have a great week and remember it didnt happen if theres no photos of it ! :cheers gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: POTW 11th December - Guest Selector Rooz (Chris)Great choice there Chris, thanks I would also have been torn between this image and that of the girl doing her homework.
Congrats Chris....im not going to cry foul here!! (it's only coincidental that Chris picked an image by Chris ) Cameron

Very much worth the wait. Well done Chris.
Re: POTW 11th December - Guest Selector Rooz (Chris)Love it! Beautiful shapes and reflections
Re: POTW 11th December - Guest Selector Rooz (Chris)What I really like about the POTW is that is one person's choice, the image that strikes them for that week, its tops 'cause its gives us insights into images that we may not normally look at or necessarily gel with.
For me, in this case, as I mentioned in the original thread, the image does very little for me, but i am glad Chris (Rooz) gave his thoughts on it since it did enable me to see it thru a different set of glasses, anything that does that can only be good thing to widen my photography horizons. Well Done Chris and Chris gerry's photography journey

Re: POTW 11th December - Guest Selector Rooz (Chris)following on from Gerry's comments, I find that not all POTW selections are necessarily what I would have picked, but often the revisit with the notes do help to open up another viewpoint. It is always a nice feeling to have something picked for POTW (I know that I didnt get my first POTW for a few years)
