Suren convinced us to give the Lee BigStopper a try during our morning session at Long Reef at Collaroy. Only tried two shots but was pretty happy with this result - with the signature BigStopper blue cast. This image with the Lee BigStopper, Lee 0.9 ND Grad and the Heliopan CPL

and this is a monochrome conversion for those who are freaked out by the blue :)

I'd be interested in peoples preferences, thanks - either, both, neither :)

There is something not sitting right about the blue, but the mono is too flat, it needs more contrast

I agree witht he comments above. The B&W needs a bit more
contrast to give it umpff (or however you spell it); while the
colour one looks odds. One of the stones has a bright yellow
colour that does not seem to match the stone nearby with a
more brown/orange colour. It might be the natural colour, but
it detracts from the greater picture.

The B&W is the standout for me.

I'm not a great fan of BW (which makes me a tiny minority in the photographic world), so I like the blue picture. Striking. At first glance it seems very overdone, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.

The B&W is a painted picture whereas the colour is a picture painted. The B&W is my preferred choice

I like the colour because it is striking in it's clarity. However, the central rock does seem to have a slight green tinge which, I think, is caused by the strength of the blue.
It is a shame there was not more movement in the cloud as it may created some drama in the image.

Thanks fella's - Unfortunately Gerry's ability to control the weather (and the wind) seems to be off lately :)

I didn't exactly tally but I think it's heading for a tie :)
