Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Well I've gone and done it; sold my Canon gear (yes, even my venerable 24-105), sold the XE-1 (for a little profit) and have jumped in, lock stock and shutter, to the Fuji fold. I bought the X Pro 1 primarily because of the optical viewfinder, which is outstanding. I'm still learning the ropes of this camera of course, but it really is very, very good. Quirky, but good. It is built like a tank and surprisingly heavy, which I actually like. It is in these conditions that the Velvia simulation setting comes into its own. #2 Oz - for once I am going to say that I do not like one of your photos - nay not the photo the treatment. It’s too red and if you want to do this pick something that is more subtle as my eyes see nothing but red.

Yes, all the BW are done (very quickly I must add) with Totally Rad BW conversion. I have seen some conversions done in-camera elsewhere and they look really good, but I haven't got that far yet! These are just some rubber-neck-snapshots. Of course, all are jpgs too. I won't be mucking around with RAW and even if I wanted to, my software is too old to recognise the format.

The X-PRO does excellent in camera RAW to B&W conversions.
