Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. International Fleet Review...Meh I know but here it comes...
I was assisting a friend on an assignment for the company (TDC) running the lightshow on the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge for the Royal Australian Navy International Fleet Review here in Sydney. We were fortunate enough to be able to photograph the projections onto the SOH and SHB during the extremely early morning test runs so I was able to shoot the whole uninterrupted sequence from a couple of great locations. This included places like in the projection towers and for the massive light beam ones below from directly in front of the towers - I’m standing in the middle just a metre in front of the projectors and I’ve got about a dozen light projectors all within a few feet of my head all around me so I could get the focused beams of light to streak into their target from around my frame. Re: International Fleet Review...Very good, all of them. I was only able
to shoot through the tv, which of course, it doesn't count.
Re: International Fleet Review...Rodney - the one with the flag is superb.
