Wedding shoot XPro1

I was not the official photog last Saturday at my niece's wedding, but I took my XPro1 along to snap a few candids. The XP1/35mm combo is a brilliant thing, with fast focusing, nice DOF and easy-peasy JPGs. It's also stealthy and quiet. Although I'm not planning on it, I think I could shoot an entire wedding with this setup, including the 18-55mm. (Maybe a rented DSLR/70-200F2.8 for the ceremony would be required).

All lovely shots ozi. The second (altho I think it looks a touch green) and third shots are crackers. Possibly if I was being really picky I think the bokeh in those shots looks quite nervous (esp in the trees) - but the expressions and sharpness are both excellent

I agree with you about the bokeh Rodney, but I think that's the nature of the 35mm beast. It certainly isn't a Canon 50L with it's creamy dreamy bokeh, (my all time favourite lens), but this little gem is always with me. A lot of the time I was just mashing the shutter and the focusing is almost always accurate.

I've been converting some to BW with SilverFX and they look even better.

These are great images Ozi, great to see your images flowing through. That Fuji really is singing.

Nice work Ozi! Who Da thought that such a small camera could turn out such great results. Of course, nothing to do with the photographer. :D :D

Actually, the first three were shot in the shade, and seem to me to be a shade too cyan. Warm them up in the raw file, if you can.

But these are all well posed and captured; and exposure is nailed, as is the focus.

Great work.

Gary do you mean the raw jpg, or the raw raw? I only shoot in jpg.

I meant the raw, as in raw.

If you're shooting in jpg, then you'll need to take other steps, but (IMHO) the AWB has failed for those images, or the WB setting wasn't quite right for the conditions encountered.
