Has anybody got or know ofA Pad, one is called a Wacom Tablet, lets you use your computer with a pen not a mouse.
Are these good Thought it would be good in PS to touch up Pics & other stuff Thanks, Mic. Your thoughts please Professors
I use one at work and I've got a no-name brand one at home... I'm not a big fan of them... they're ok, but I much prefer my trackball..
They're more for designers than digital photo editors. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au
Contributor for fine magazines such as PC Authority and Popular Science.
Hmmmmm O.K. Leigh,
It's just that I was touching a photo the other night and thought, gees this would be sooooo much easier with a Pen/ Pencil type shape tool than my silly Mouse. Thanks, Mic.
I had (broke) the old wacom tablet and I absolutel Loved and miss it. However, Wacom has the new draw on image pad that looks interesting. If you like to PP your shots or do any sort of design work they are an absolte lifesaver!

Got one myself recently and they are well worth having. Being able to use brushes with pressure sensitivity is great, makes it really easy to cut round things too.

I've been using a Wacom Graphire 3 for Photoshop work since Christmas and I LOVE it. You can't beat it for close, fine work. I was a bit uncoordinated with it for the first few weeks but it has become second nature to me now and I use the pen more than my mouse - for everything, not just photoshop. Simon

The big benefit of using a Wacom tablet is that the stylus is pressure sensitive, so airbrusing and blending tools can be finely controlled. Also, flip the pen upside-down to activate the eraser tool. Alistair
Brilliant ! Brilliant ! Bloody Brilliant !!!
I luv this Forum for Info, just cant't bloody Beat it. Have I said Bloody enough Oops ! Birddog, Birddog I'll be PMing you very soon, I'll clear with Wifey first otherwise might not be able to get in front door tonight Thanks Manta Thanks AlistairF Mic.
I have been using a Wacom graphire 3 for about a year now.
Its absolutely brilliant. I had to swap to it because the mouse position was hurting my wrist and have never looked back. You wont be dissapointed with it and when you next use a mouse again you'll think its as clummsy as removing a tooth with a pnuematic road drill. Matt

I've looked at this a few times, but held off since I wasn't sure I'd use it enough. I'll be interested to hear how it goes if you get one. Oh and here's a review... http://www.macworld.com/2004/12/reviews/intuos3/index.php Peter

Thanks stubbsy,
I only reason I got onto this was, I was working on an image which I'll be posting next week when my ADSL comes back up to Warp Speed. Anyway, I was working on fine detail around eyes or imaginary eyes as it was,you will have to wait till next week to see what the hell I'm talking about. The Mouse was giving me the Irrits and my hand was aching, hopefully this will help. Will let you know how I go. Mic.
