POTW 11th February 2014Apologies for my tardy timing on the selection.
Some very excellent images posted in the last week, of worthy note of course is GeoffM and the images from his recent trip to the UK. Two images stuck in my mind this week, MattK's "Fish shop fruit shop" the second image (viewtopic.php?f=18&t=44177&start=455073#p455073) and Geoffs "Tower Bridge, London" the last image and as such it is my POTW selection. This image is quirky in the sense the timing of the person is midstep resulting in the viewer being drawn to this point in the image and causing them to analyse and think about what is potentially going on, tick number 1! The other classic elements, the leading lines of the pavements, the verticals leading to the sky and the repeating pattern all work to compliment the scene add interest with the final focal point being that famous structure in the distance. Very nicely done Geoff. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Re: POTW 11th February 2014I reckon this is a great image too. I agree with everything Gerry has said, particularly regarding the person in the foreground.

Re: POTW 11th February 2014Bloody marvellous choice and I feel that the person in the foreground makes this photo. Well done (again) Geoff and great pick Gerry.

Re: POTW 11th February 2014Nice choice Gerry,
This is an image that was made to be taken. Love the lines Geoff.
Re: POTW 11th February 2014Nice photo (again) Geoff and worthy POTW.
Is Geoff's dominance of the POTW section pure ability, or is it the not-so-secret weapon, Mr Fuji? :) Seriously, well done Geoff. (I must admit, I've been a tad, no very, slack of late in regards to photography. We'll try and remedy things this week.)
Re: POTW 11th February 2014Thanks again folks. This was shot with the 18-55 zoom -18mm, f5, 1/60s, ISO800. The person in the foreground is my daughter.
