I was up that way on Saturday...managed to get one exposure before it started bucketing down. Just to spite me the rain ceased by the time we got our soaked backsides back to the car.

Surprisingly very little water there at the moment Cameron, given the rain we have had recently I would have thought there would be more.
That's a super long exposure too btw!

I like the vignetting that the bigstopper has produced, however I would consider alittle more light in the centre to really make the falls pop and draw the viewer right in.

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

I was very tempted to head back down for another shot (with more water) but the thunder booming had be thinking twice. I will have a play and tweak with the levels.

That piddly little shower? only 8mm showed in the gauge all day.
Today now... 26mm so far and climbing (rapidly!)

Glad you made it in OK, but a shame the rain came after you were there. Would have been better if it rained before you got there.

26mm is a heavy dew for Coffs Harbour... :biglaugh: BTW, nice picture Cameron. I love photographing waterfalls, but I'm not very good at it. You'd think with all the waterfalls around Coffs that I would try harder...

by the sounds of it you got pretty wet, hope the gear didn't get as wet!!

I really like the image, but would be curious to see your PP version with a little more light in the centre on the falls. I'd also like to see some of the shadow detail from the right hand side revealed a smidge. A- for commitment, A+ would have been going back down amidst the thunder storm!! (joking)

Look forward to seeing the edited image in the future.

I have done a tweak (see above) but the effect appears to be muted by compression/resize
