Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Thanks for taking the time to select this weeks image Zafra! Nicely selected and thanks for sharing your thoughts. The picture that I believe should be the Picture of the Week is number four in B&W Squared by Geoff M. I like its composition, the Black and white treatment, its mood, how the most prominent element (the bridge) guides the viewer's eye to the second element (the dome of St Paul's) strategically placed on one of the two thirds (making the composition works). I love how this picture makes the viewer's eyes travel back over the bridge discovering little people one by one unaware that they are being immortalised as tiny dots. It is in short the type of picture I wish I had taken. http://gmarshall.zenfolio.com/img/s10/v ... 0437-4.jpg

Thanks to Zafra for choosing one of my images, it was not my favorite image from the set but I will happily take the accolade.
