My mother

Postby the foto fanatic on Wed Jul 16, 2014 12:11 pm

Thank you for the kind words and thoughts after I advised of my mother's illness.

Mum died last week after a courageous battle against cancer. She died surrounded by family and was able to tell each of us how much she loved us before she passed.
They were moments that were painful and sad but also beautiful.

She raised five kids on the smell of an oily rag and we are all forever grateful for her love and guidance. We are going to miss her terribly.

Here she is on her wedding day in 1948.

RIP Mum

our life is ultimately judged by how we have loved and how others have loved us. Lotta love in this post and how wonderful you were all given the opportunity to speak your heart.

The picture shows a very beautiful young woman and on your comments indicate she was an excellent mother. With time, you and your siblings will manage to cope without her physical presence but she will still live in you and it is quite possible that her teachings and her memory will grow even stronger.
