Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Thanks to ChrisK (Rooz) for taking the time to look and select a image for the DLSRuser POTW and I do say so myself..damn fine choice, no gimmicks, no filters, no amazing wonder of the world but it's still a damn fine image and for me shows the true talent of a tog, making awesome stuff from nothing! well done Zafra. Not a difficult choice for me this week, zaf's bubble image was a walk up start. (although my personal bias for mono thinks its a stronger image as a high contrast B&W ). http://www.dslrusers.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=44485What i love about this image in particular is the originality and spontaneity of it. takes a special pair of eyes to recognize the opportunity of creating an image from something so random. the icing on the cake is of course the circular theme of both the painting in the bubble and the round mirror to the right of frame. an EXCELLENT image !! congrats zaf !!

To capture the bubble would have been difficult enough due to its short life cycle but with all the other elements complimenting the image it is indeed a very worthy winner.

Can do. Let me know when you've read this, and then I'll do it. When your old username doesn't work, it will have been done.
