Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Chasing water - Testing the Minolta 17-35mm f/2.8-4D

I was up in the blue hills over the weekend and managed to catch up with MrDarcy, I'm sure he enjoyed the walk down into the valley and up again. We visited Empress Falls and the two little cascades that are just below. However I was using my Sony A7 + LA-EA4 combination testing my newly arrived Minolta AF 17-35mm f/2.8-4D. It appears to front focus slightly but I suspect I have the right micro-adjust dialed in now, other than that there were no real complaints about IQ.

I like the compositions and colours in your pictures. They convey feelings of peace and serenity as this type of scenery can. Well done!

I suspected you would. I have been reminded of the walk as well, but nothing to keep me from my daily routine. Hope you feel better soon

Love that second one Cameron, come to think of it, the last time I was there was with Greg, yourself and other members :)

Whilst the first is nice, its gloss is taken away by the sheer number of images I have seen of it, hence I think to get some thing to go wow at you need to really jazz it up somehow (i don't actually know myself:) )
