Repton revisitedI shot an almost identical photo from this spot just south of Coffs a few years ago, with my at-the-time Canon 60D. This time I'm using Fuji gear.

Re: Repton revisitedSuperb! Lovely colours and framing.
Re: Repton revisitedvery photogenic spot Ozi... i think i recall your previous version ...
here we go, found it viewtopic.php?f=18&t=43612&p=451481&hilit=Repton#p451481 improvement on the dynamic range? other than that it could be taken with just about any camera gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Repton revisited
I've no idea how you found that Gerry, as I couldn't remember the title of the post. Well done. As for dynamic range, I'd say the Fuji eats the Canon for breakfast, not that the Canon was bad. And yes, any camera these days is a good camera, with the exception of Leica, as I'd have to donate a kidney to afford one and then I'd be a kidney short... Re: Repton revisitedVery interesting to see the differences, definitely improved composition and the D-range is better in this image

Re: Repton revisited
Funny you mention that Gerry. I actually feel like I'm in a photographic hole at the moment. I'm seriously thinking of selling my main Fuji gear and just concentrating on using the X100s for a year and seeing where it leads me. Apart from last Tuesday night, I haven't taken that many photos for a long time, including a recent trip to Europe (England, Spain and Italy) from which I returned last week. I didn't even go through one x100s battery in the entire 17 day excursion. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)
