Re: Pretty little piece of history
*slaps hand on forehead* I knew that Matt. Just testing. Actually, my great-great-grandfather arrived near that very spot around 1815, via the convict ship Elizabeth. He did 7 years hard labour and was emancipated. He married the daughter of a free settler, received a land grant and did quite well. Can I do that? Of course it is. My band played there, back in the late '80s. Many times. How silly do I feel? (Don't answer that one) But in my defense, I had my back to the building! g.

Re: Pretty little piece of history
Were there too many letters there? Do you mean to say emaciated?
Re: Pretty little piece of history
Probably Ozi's great-great-grandfather was ''emaciated'' by the time he was ''emancipated''. So the daughter of a free settler, who I am assuming is Ozi's great-great-mother, fatten him up, remove all those fancy ideas he brought from the old country and set him off into the straight and narrow course of family life, wholesome living, and eventually prosperity. Ah, what a good woman can do!
