I just love this image for its colours and textures and the lovely little ribbon of road that pops in and out of the picture. Well done Ozi!

Many thanks to all, and to NZ for being such a nice place, and to Fuji for making such nice cameras, and Qantas for a nice flight over, and Nissan for providing the vehicle to get to this spot...:)

You forgot thanking your parents for having you and God for creating beautiful New Zealand....LOL (it seems the BBCode aSmilies are set to OFF). Seriously, you deserve to win with any of your photos, but the judge considered that as the best and we agree on that choice. Congratulations again.

:?:

I don't think so. :rotfl2:

Well done, Oz. Great image, with more than just a hint of the road.

(Zaf, there's a checkbox at the foot of the posting area. Please make sure that it's unchecked. )

Gary, thanks for your advice but the only box I can see at the bottom of the posting box is on the left under Options for Do not automatically parse URLs and it is unchecked. Unfortunately, I cannot capture the screen for you to see; I guess it is not all that important.

Well done Ozi. Brilliant image. But then it is hard to go wrong when the subject is NZ.

Gary you are forgetting you are God. We mere mortals have never been able to use smilies in POTW threads.

Never worked out your reasons for setting it up this way but have accepted it. God is after all unknowable. ;)
I can still use old school smilies :P

Yes, Matt those things do not show next to the posting screen, but instead shows Smilies are OFF. There is no box to activate them in the POTW page.

Amen and Amen.

Funnily enough, I did once start a website called "Created by God - Captured by Canon." Then I moved to Fuji so it sort of doesn't fit any more. Of course, if someone wanted to donate a Nikon D810 (for review purposes of course) I wouldn't complain!

:D :D :D

But, of course, Ozi "Created by God & Captured by Fuji" would also work beautifully.

As it happens, I'm currently engaged in active disussions with Nikon regarding the fact that my D800e failed in the Jazz Tent at NOJF. The camera has extensive corrosion on the circuit boards, and they're trying to tell me that corrosion isn't covered under warranty. I've just pointed out to them that a 16 month old camera body, costng $3.5K, should not be suffering from corrosion on its circuit boards.

No it shouldn't have corrosion on the circuit boards. I guess the camera is supposed to be weather sealed and you took reasonable precautions when caring for the camera. Is it still under warranty? I guess the small claim tribunal is waiting...
